What is the beef between Soulja Boy and DDG? Rapper announces truce

Soulja Boy and DDG have been beefing since early this year. The beef started after DDG was accused of domestic abuse and violence by his former partner, Halle Bailey. Soon after such allegations surfaced, Soulja Boy dissed DDG in an expletive-laden post:

You a b*tch a*s n**** for putting yo hands on Halle lil n**** If I catch you im beating the f*ck out u."

This post triggered a swift response from DDG, who said in a post:

"First to guess who heroin teeth this is gets $20 cashapp! GO."

DDG followed this up by setting up a GoFundMe account in Boy's name, with the following caption;

""If anybody would like to support soulja boy with his $4 million se**al assault case link is below please read heart felt description before you ignore."

The back and forth continued, with rapper Ray J also joining in briefly, with Soulja and J joining together to diss DDG. Ray J accused DDG of stealing Bobby V's melody from Slow Down for DDG's own track What I Prefer in a livestream on May 14, 2025. Meanwhile, Soulja and DDG's beef escalated with the former challenging the latter to a boxing match on May 19, 2025:

"You know how to fight right? You a boxer right? Let's get into the fu*king ring bi*ch a** ni**a. Call Aiden ni**a. F**k You talking about. Call Aiden ni**a, tell him to set this sh*t up this weekend ni**a. I'm off tour tomorrow nigga. We can fight the day after tomorrow ni**a. F**k you talking about? I'll be in LA tomorrow...."

Now, however, Soulja Boy has called a truce on the beef, stating in a tweet post that he was done with it and he was going to mind his own business from now on in a post that has since then been deleted:

Soulja Boy has had a number of beefs over the years, including with Ice-T all the way back in 2008, as well as rapper Charles Hamilton in 2008. Both of these early beefs were over Soulja's music and how it was being perceived by T and Hamilton.

This was followed by some problems with the US Armed Forces, after Boy released the song Let's Be Real, which criticised the FBI and the armed forces. Due to the controversy that the song started, Soulja was forced to apologize to the US Armed Forces and military families for it.

However, one of the major beefs Soulja had was later in his career, in 2017, when Chris Brown allegedly threatened Soulja over liking a post by Brown's former girlfriend Karrueche Tran. The beef continued for some time, and even escalated into a challenge for a fight, but was ultimately solved by both parties through discussions.

Soulja Boy's feud with Metro Boomin was in 2024. The brief feud started in May 2024, when Soulja dissed Boomin and his late mother. Soulja was reacting to an old Boomin tweet. This quickly resulted in backlash on the internet, and Soulja eventually apologized to Metro Boomin.

The rapper has also had 50 Cent, Drake, Bow WOW as well as, Tyga, and more. Aside from his various beefs and feuds, Soulja Boy is a successful rapper, with ten albums. His latest release is the trilogy of albums, Big Draco, Big Draco 2, and Big Draco 3 in 2021, 2022, and 2023, respectively.
