The Beach Boys co-founder and songwriter, Brian Wilson, has passed away at the age of 82. His death was confirmed by an official statement from his family on June 11, 2025.

According to a report in Sky News Australia, the statement read:

“We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving. We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world.”
