Hurts are set to perform across Europe and the UK from May 22, 2025, to August 16, 2025, in venues across cities such as Berlin, London, and Helsinki, among others, as part of the 'Hapinness' anniversary shows. However, now one half of the duo, Adam Anderson, has withdrawn from the shows to focus on his mental health and well-being.

Adam Anderson has been suffering a mental health crisis for years, and he now has had to make the decision to sit out the upcoming shows to focus on his recovery from the mental health crisis, as he explained in his announcement of the decision to sit out the upcoming tour:

"Hello everyone. Adam here, I hope everyone is well, I wanted to share some news with everyone. As many of you know, I've been struggling with my mental health for years now. Sadly due to my ongoing recovery, I have taken the very difficult decision to sit out all forthcoming HURTS shows this year and focus solely on my well being."

Anderson continued the statement:

"It hasn't been an easy decision but its the right thing for me to do at this time. I want to express my love and gratitude to Theo for his understanding and supporting me in making this decision. All shows will go ahead as planned with Theo taking centre stage and I couldn't be happier that they're taking place."

Anderson added:

"A spectacular show has been created. Happiness is an album that changed our lives forever and he has my full support. As always, I know he will give it his everything. If you are going to the show, please enjoy every moment. Lastly, I would like to apologise to you all, our fans."

Anderson added:

"You've supported me as an individual and the band for so many years and I have never taken it for granted. I don't want anyone to worry about me. I am doing my best to recover with a good support system around me and I look forward to getting better. We will meet again, for sure. With love, Adam."
