An Oasis fan tragically died at a recent concert, according to reports. According to The Guardian, the accident occurred at Wembley Stadium, where the reunion tour of the band is taking place. The man was said to be in his 40s and was sitting in the upper tier of the stadium, but he died after falling off the stands onto the ground.

The incident came to the attention of the emergency services when the man fell 50 meters to the ground. Their attempts to save the fan did not help, as he reportedly died at the scene. The spokesperson for Wembley Stadium confirmed the news through a statement released to The Hollywood Reporter, where he said:

"Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concertgoer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. The Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them."

Oasis' statement on the incident

The Wembley concert was a segment of Oasis' highly anticipated reunion tour that attracted a lot of hype among the fans. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher are reunited to perform after a long period of 16 years, and yet the excitement that the fans had was dimmed by the tragic death that occurred at the scene.

Oasis has released an official statement expressing their shock and has extended condolences to the deceased fan and his loved ones.

"We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night. Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved."

The security will also be tightened over the coming days, even though the concert had been proceeding without any incident until the tragic fall. The organizers have already come out to declare that the concerts are going to be run as they had earlier been planned.

The Metropolitan Police also shed light on the case and have released a statement to The Guardian as well. While urging witnesses to come forward with details of the incident, they said:

"A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage."

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are currently being investigated by the Metropolitan Police, and further details in regard to the death will be released during the course of the investigation.
