Liam Payne, the beloved former member of the pop band One Direction, passed away tragically in October 2024. Recently, the court documents cited who would inherit his estate, as the singer did not leave a will behind.

As per The Guardian, Liam Payne left behind a £24.3m fortune. As per the letter of administration, the gross value of the estate amounts to £28,594,888, while the net value amounts to £24,279,728.

Liam had died after falling from the balcony of the Casa Sur hotel in Argentina on October 16, 2024. His death had sent shockwaves across the industry, and fans had mourned for days.

The For You singer, who rose to fame as one of the members of One Direction, died in 2024, leaving behind a fortune that amounts to £24.3m. As per the court papers, Liam did not leave a will.

The court documents show that Liam left £28,595,000 in fortune and after covering the debts, the figure comes down to £24,280,000. As per The Sun, the documents show that Liam's former partner, Cheryl Tweedy, and the mother of their son Bear, will be granted the power of administration over all of Liam's fortune.

As per the court documents, the music industry lawyer, Richard Mark Bray, has also been given administrative duties. According to the UK’s rules of intestacy, the money will be placed in a trust for Liam's son, Bear.

The postmortem report had revealed that the cause of death was polytrauma, as he suffered from internal and external haemorrhage. The toxicology reports had also revealed that before his death, there were traces of cocaine, alcohol, and prescription antidepressants in his body.

Kate Cassidy, who was Liam's girlfriend at the time of his death, will not receive anything from Liam's fortune, as they were not married or in a civil partnership. In Jay Shetty's podcast, On Purpose, Kate shared about her last exchange with Liam. She said:

''I remember sitting there with him and I was going on and on and on about how much I love him. And he laughed and interrupted me and was like: ‘Kate you're gonna miss your flight, your car is in the driveway. You’re acting like this is the last time you are ever gonna see me again.'"

Kate had just laughed back then. She then added:

''I am so blessed that it was that heartfelt goodbye. Our last goodbye - I wouldn’t have wanted it to be any differently. I am so glad we had that beautiful time together and I wouldn’t change that.''

Liam's funeral was held on November 20, 2024, and his former bandmates, including Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, had attended the service.
