Popular American rapper, singer, and songwriter Travie McCoy recently spoke about his experience working with American rapper and creative T-Pain, and it might not have been the most comfortable experience. In an exclusive interview with People magazine published on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the Hall of Famer discussed one of T-Pain’s ‘weird’ habits he noticed when working with the I'm Sprung hitmaker.“Pain's different. So when Pain's in the studio, even on his studio bus, or the studio on his bus, there's four screens and each one is playing a different p*rn video,” McCoy told the news outlet.Travie McCoy added:“I was not used to that. I knew he was the strip club king, and I knew he made all the anthems for single mothers and s---, but I wasn't prepared.”Travis shared that he had to adjust and block the situation out to make music together.“I guess that's what gets him in his zone to make strip club anthems, you know? So we did a song called 'That's Not Cool,' and I just couldn't stop listening to it. And then we did another one. I think the next one we did was a song called 'Bad All by Myself,' and we just kept making songs.”However, Travie McCoy revealed that he and T-Pain have a deep friendship, which grew out of their numerous projects together.“T-Pain and I became really, really good friends on that tour, and he had a studio on his bus, so I'd go up and listen to beats. And there was one beat in particular, I think it was a song called 'That's Not Cool.' It didn't end up on [my 2010 solo] record [Lazarus], but that's the first song him and I recorded together, and I was like, 'Wow, this is fun,” the rapper recalled.More details on Travie McCoy and T-Pain’s relationshipTravis McCoy and T-Pain have collaborated on quite a number of musical projects.
