Charli XCX is making headlines after her wedding to The 1975 drummer George Daniel.

People magazine reported that the Apple singer, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, married the musician at Hackney Town Hall in London, England, on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Their intimate wedding ceremony was attended by 20 guests, reportedly including the singer’s parents and the musician’s bandmates.

For the wedding, the Brat hitmaker opted to skip the traditional bridal style and chose a mini white dress, paired with white pumps and a veil. She added sunglasses and a bouquet of white flowers for a chic look. Meanwhile, Daniel wore a dark double-breasted suit over a shirt.

Charli XCX first announced her engagement on Instagram in 2023. She captioned her now-deleted post,

“Charli xcx and george daniel f**king for life!!!”

According to Daily Mail, the couple appeared to extend their understated theme to the bride's wedding ring, valued at around £10K, despite the reported £10M fortune of the newlyweds. The band of the platinum ring featured a twisted, overlapping design, which matched her engagement ring, worth £15K.

Charli XCX and George Daniel first made headlines about their relationship in March 2021, according to a report in US Weekly. It was during this time that they met while working together on the song "Spinning."

The two teamed up again when the drummer helped the pop star with her album Crash, released in 2022. In March of the same year, the duo was spotted holding hands during a romantic outing in New York City. Elle magazine reported that they also collaborated on the song, Hot Girl (Bodies Bodies Bodies), which served as the soundtrack for the horror film Bodies Bodies Bodies.

The couple made their relationship Instagram official a few months later in May of the same year. Charli XCX shared pictures from their vacation in a now-deleted post, captioning it, “A ~ delicious ~ week ~ off ~.” In May 2023, the Boom Clap singer discussed her relationship with her then-boyfriend in an interview with The Sun. She said:

“Now that I’m in a relationship with another musician he’s influenced me a lot with his process and how he and his band work. Later in November, Charli XCX announced her engagement to Daniel. In the following days, the pair continued to create new songs, including one announced in April 2024 along with a sultry photo.

Earlier this year, in January, rumors surfaced that they might have gotten married in a secret ceremony. However, the couple did not address these rumors. In February 2025, a source told The Sun that they are planning to get married in Italy before officially tying the knot in London in July 2025.
