'Weird Al' Yankovic, an American comedy musician, singer, and writer, took to Instagram to express his thoughts about the passing of Tom Lehrer. 'Weird Al,' whose real name is Alfred Matthew Yankovic, posted a black and white photo of the late singer, and wrote:

"My last living musical hero is still my hero but unfortunately no longer living. RIP to the great, great Mr. Tom Lehrer."

Tom Lehrer passed away at the age of 97. He was found dead at his home in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on July 26, 2025.
