Finneas dropped the music video for his 2024 song, "2001," on May 14. The video is officially directed by his longtime girlfriend, Claudia Sulewski, and stars Kate Hudson and Finneas. The Grammy winner is known for his singing and songwriting skills. Additionally, Finneas is also famous for co-writing and producing Billie Eilish's albums, including Hit Me Hard and Soft and Happier Than Ever.
After the video was released, Finneas uploaded an appreciation post for his girlfriend, Claudia, on Instagram Story that read,
"I asked her out of nowhere if she wanted to direct a video for 2001. I said, 'You can do whatever you want, I don’t even have to be in it.' She was shooting a show at the time and trying to go to sleep early for a super early call time. I got into bed and she said, 'I think I have a good idea,' and she had literally thought of the ENTIRE VIDEO."
He went on to praise her creative direction by adding,
"She made the most insane storyboards of it, bought the planets herself, and crushed every step of it. I feel so lucky to have had her work with me on it."
Along with Claudia, Finneas also thanked Kate Hudson for her support and for collaborating on the music video with him.
