When is BTS releasing their new album? Jimin teases details ahead of group's highly anticipated comeback

BTS' upcoming album release has been described as one of the most anticipated K-pop comeback by fans and netizens. In a recent surprise Weverse live, member Jimin shared an exciting update about the group’s highly anticipated project.

On November 1, 2025, Jimin and V held a surprise livestream where they updated their fans on their lives and the group’s activities.

“Everyone, we finished recording. We just finished recording,” Jimin announced, referring to their album, which is expected to drop in Spring 2026.

He added:

“It can now come out next spring. Seeing you today, I really wanted to promote our song.”

During their live on July 1, 2025, the members announced their first post-military album and tour. While they didn't confirm the dates for these events, they shared that their album will drop in spring 2026.

“We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started,” BTS announced in the Weverse livestream.

They also announced the tour:

“We’re also planning a world tour alongside the new album. We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are.”

BTS Jin has been gaining fan points with his recent features. The oldest member gave fans a highly anticipated mini stage reunion. On October 31, 2025, Jin invited Jungkook and J-Hope to his solo encore concert in South Korea. The members performed songs like Jin’s Super Tuna, BTS’ Idol, and My Universe.

On November 1, 2025, Jin surprised Army and concluded his solo tour by bringing V and Jimin to the encore leg of his RUNSEOKJIN EP.TOUR at Incheon Stadium. The three members gave an emotional rendition of The Truth Untold, Spring Day, So What, Idol, and My Universe. A highlight of the show was when Kim Taehyung performed his solo single Love Me Again and cried afterward.
