The July 17, 2025, episode of the Question Everything podcast featured Scooter Braun as a guest. The 44-year-old businessman opened up about where he stood with some of Hollywood’s A-listers.

One of those celebrities was Kanye West. Braun represented Kanye West from 2016 to 2021. In February 2025, West went viral for making antisemitic comments and sharing such information. The rapper doubled down on his statements and landed in more trouble with fans and the media.

When asked where he stood with West following the latter’s outbursts and ideologies on X, Braun replied:

"I don’t know him anymore.”

He continued:

"The person that I knew wasn’t someone who says those things. Sometimes the hardest thing to do with someone you care about is mourn them while they’re still here. The person that I knew is not the person that I’m seeing, so I don’t have a relationship anymore.”

“I don’t know him,” Scooter Braun says about Kanye West

When asked during his appearance on the podcast about the possibility of West becoming his old self again, Braun made the following remarks:

“I don’t know him, and I think right now, I have three beautiful kids that need a dad to focus on them and make sure they’re prepared and strong in this world,” he added. “That’s going to be my focus.”

Braun, apart from talking about his former clients, also spoke about how his marriage ended and how he regarded his divorce as a personal failure at some point in his life:

“No one in my family had ever been divorced. And at that time, I built up the foundation of Scooter...So, having the perfect career, the perfect wife, the perfect life, the kids, the success, I thought that made me worthy of love. And it wasn't until our marriage came apart and I couldn't fix it. I felt like a failure because I didn't have a foundation.”

Braun added that he was now healed from the traumatic experiences of the past and was ready to enjoy the future.

Scooter Braun recently announced that he had taken a step back from music management and was focusing on his role as CEO of HYBE America. The company later announced that they had chosen another person for the position. Now Braun will serve as a director of the Board of the company.

Other celebrities previously managed by Scooter Braun include: Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and J Balvin amongst others.
