Where will Charli XCX and George Daniel celebrate next? Couple plans grand second wedding party

Charli XCX and George Daniel recently tied the knot, but it looks like the celebrations are not over yet. While the Boom Clap singer and her man got married in an intimate ceremony in July 2025, and were photographed outside Hackney Town Hall, the pair have revealed that a bigger celebration is underway.

A source has revealed that the couple is planning a bigger wedding, which will be held in Sicily, later in the summer. Talk about an Italian wedding! According to the source, they shared:

"They've always dreamed of a big party in Italy... Somewhere beautiful and private, where all their friends can let loose. It will be star-studded. This was always the plan. London was the official wedding, but a big event is happening too and it will be epic."

When Charli and George got married, fans were surprised to see the quaint and low-key ceremony. But later on, it was revealed that this had been the plan all along.

How did Charli XCX and George Daniel meet?

The first meeting between Charli XCX and her now-husband, George Daniel, goes back to 2016. Charli was seen photographed with Daniel's band, The 1975. They won the GQ Band of the Year award at the GQ Men of the Year Awards that year.

In the following years, Charli worked together with The 1975 on a few songs, which include Spinning and I Might Say Something Stupid. Rumors of the two dating started circling in March 2022, after they worked on her Crash album.

A year later, the couple got engaged in November 2023. The I Love It singer took to X (previously Twitter) to announce their engagement and captioned the post:

"Charli xcx and george daniel f*cking for life!!!'"

Two years later, in 2025, they tied the knot. However, before the London wedding, there were hints that Charli XCX and George Daniels might get married in Italy. A source told The Sun that the couple love the country and it is their special place. In their words:

"Charli and George both love Italy and it holds a special place in their hearts so they decided that's where they want to get married... They've found a venue that they think is perfect for their unique style of wedding, which won't exactly be traditional... The main aim is to have everyone they love come together and obviously there are plenty of people who are desperate for an invite."

They continued:

"It's incredibly secluded and romantic. There will be no expense spared. It’s costing tens of thousands of pounds and visually it will be mesmerizing. Charli and George said they wanted a massive party and there are no restrictions on when the bar has to close, so it can go on all night."

Charli XCX and George Daniel may have tied the knot in London, but the celebrations are just getting started. The newlyweds are preparing for a bigger wedding bash that will reportedly happen in Sicily, sometime this summer.
