Stewart Copeland has officially announced that he will bring his spoken word show, Have I Said Too Much? The Police, Hollywood and Other Adventures, to Australia and New Zealand in January 2026.
The tour will be his first return to the region in 18 years. This leg follows some UK and European performances in 2025. Fans will hear him recount stories from his career during the trek.
Stewart Copeland is best known as the founding drummer of The Police. However, his first professional break came with Curved Air. In 1977, he founded The Police. Some of the band's notable works include Outlandos d'Amour (1978), Zenyatta Mondatta (1980), and Synchronicity (1983). The Police sold more than 75 million records worldwide and won six Grammy Awards.
According to his official website, the other bands Stewart Copeland has worked with are as follows:
- 1952-1975: Early days, the Middle East, the Music Biz, & Curved Air
- 1977: The Police
- 1985-1989: The Soundtrack of a Life
- 1988-1989: Animal Logic
- 1992-2000: The World of Soundtracks
- 1992-2002: Oysterhead
- 2006-2007: Hilarious three weeks in London
The Police disbanded in 1986. Between 1988 and 1989, Stewart Copeland co-founded Animal Logic with jazz bassist Stanley Clarke and singer Deborah Holland. Later, from 1992 to 2002, he joined forces with Primus' Les Claypool and Phish's Trey Anastasio to form Oysterhead.
Stewart Copeland's spoken word tour shows are conversational. Perth radio host Sarah Tout acts as MC. Audience questions are also taken and responded to.
