Xava Drago was the lead singer of the Mexican hard rock and heavy metal band, Coda. His love for music began at a very young age. Before forming and becoming the lead singer for Coda, he was a part of a few other bands. At the age of 17, he played and sang for bands such as Ultimátum and Megatón, which greatly helped him boost his career in the rock music industry.

Drago is one of the pioneers and pillars of Mexican rock music. 36 years ago, Drago and guitarist Toño Ruiz decided to form Coda, and they never looked back. Xava also decided to explore his talent as a solo artist and released an album called Quinto Sol.

Xava Drago also shared the stage with Chad Smith, the drummer of Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Sammy Hagar. The lead singer passed away at the age of 56 due to complications from stomach cancer.

What was Xava Drago's last message?

Before Xava Drago passed, he shared a message on an Instagram post that was captioned:

"On behalf of the Aguilar Hurtado family: his father, his sisters, his daughters, his nephews, his brother-in-law and Ela we thank from the heart for all the love, support and blessings that Xava received throughout his life. It leaves us a huge void.... Forever Xava Dragon Thank you very much, Paloma Aguilar Hurtado."

The message was shared on the photo, and it reads:

"Recognizing and accepting that we are only passing through this world is a great gateway to embrace life: to enjoy it and cherish it. Today my life has come to an end, and all I can say is that I lived it my way. I sang, I rocked, but above all, I enjoyed and loved every wonderful moment I built."

It continues:

"By the time you read these lines, I will have crossed over to that place where pain no longer exists, where I can rest peacefully, and most importantly, where I will be reunited with my beautiful mother. Thank you once again to everyone for so much love, good energy, and rock and roll. I bid you farewell with much love."

Before Xava Drago passed, he recorded two unreleased songs, which will be released to the public soon. Drago's death is being mourned by his bandmates, family, and fans worldwide.
