These artists have been bestowed with the honor due to their significant contribution to the state's musical heritage. The 2025 Induction Ceremony is scheduled to be held on October 16, 2025. Inductees of the 2025 North Carolina Music Hall of Fame
The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame has recently announced six inductees for the year. The ceremony will take place on October 16, 2025, at the Mooresville Performing Arts Center in Mooresville, North Carolina.
The inductees include Luke Combs, the singer of the 2016 Hurricane. Luke has won two iHeart Radio Music Awards, six Country Music Association Awards, and three Grammy Award nominations. He was also recently inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame.
Robert Deaton, a producer and director, is another inductee. He has worked as an executive producer for the Billboard Music Awards on NBC, and the Country Music Association Awards on ABC. Apart from these feats, Deaton is also a two-time Emmy winner.
Clyde Mattocks, founder of the Super Grit Cowboy Band, is the third inductee on the list. Throughout his 70-year-long career, Clyde has displayed his mastery at playing various musical instruments. He has also been called the 'best pedal steel player in North Carolina.'
David Childers, a resident of Mount Holly, North Carolina, is the next on the list. A singer-songwriter and a poet, he has released many albums, including Serpents of Reformation, Godzilla, and Time Machine.
Hattie "Chatty Hatty" Leeper is another inductee. She was the first Black female DJ and owned a record label called AwarE. She was also a teacher and has taught at many colleges and universities. She also founded the Chatty School of Communication and has been inducted into the Black Radio Hall of Fame.
Dexter Romweber is next on the list of the inductees. A roots rock and rockabilly musician, he had a great influence on indie bands such as The White Stripes and The Black Keys. Dexter came from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he was a significant figure in the music scene and co-founded the band Flat Duo Jets.
