Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, and dignitaries from across nations have continued to pay their respects to the Prince of Darkness. On July 30, the Black Sabbath frontman’s hearse had its final trek through the city of Birmingham, and thousands of fans filled the streets with flowers in honor of the late singer.
Sharon, his wife, and his children were dressed in black attire and were visibly emotional as they joined fans to celebrate the legend. While there is no official list to confirm the high-profile attendees of the event, photos and online speculations suggest that Ozzy’s Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward attended his last parade.
James Hetfield from Metallica was also revealed by a Daily Mail UK source to be in attendance. Ozzy’s longtime friend Elton John and YUNGBLUD were also indicated as possible guests at the Star-studded ceremony. The funeral procession passed through the Black Sabbath bridge and a bench filled with tributes from fans. The hearse also passed through Ozzy’s childhood home.

Elton John shared a photo of himself with Ozzy Osbourne and captioned it:
He was a dear friend and a huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods – a true legend. He was also one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. I will miss him dearly. To Sharon and the family, I send my condolences and love.”
Frontman for the Green Day band Billie Joel Armstrong posted on Instagram that he has no words. Jason Momoa shared a photo of himself with Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon, saying:
"Love you @ozzyosbourne, All my aloha @sharonosbourne and ohana. So grateful. RIP."
