American metalcore band Attila officially canceled their entire European summer tour hours before the first show. This has now resulted in finger-pointing between the band and promoters.
The tour was scheduled to kick off on August 1, 2025, at Full Rewind Festival in Löbnitz, Germany. It was expected to span multiple countries and include appearances alongside Dropout Kings, AngelMaker, and more. However, as the band and crew landed in Berlin, everything was called off.
Attila took to Instagram to break the news:
"We would like to sincerely apologize to our fans first and foremost. We never intended on cancelling our 2025 European run but over the past couple years Attila and its crew have been put in situations that are volatile to not only our mental but individual health. In return these scenarios have led us to set boundaries as humans beings as well as a functioning business."
A series of conflicting statements from the band and European promoters followed. Both are offering different explanations for the 2025 tour cancellation. Attila's Instagram post continued:
"We flew the entire band and crew all the way to Europe only to find out less than twenty four hours before our first show these boundaries were crossed again. We are not here to speak negatively about any individual or company. However, we have to stand up for ourselves and, more importantly, for the people who work hard to make Attila run smoothly."
They concluded, stating:
"Moving forward we are going to take the necessary measures to make sure nothing like this ever happens again. We can only hope you understand and respect our decision."
Frontman Chris Fronzak stated:
"We (Attila) did every single thing right, showed up to Germany, & got absolutely f***d over day 1. We are not dealing with anybody’s bull anymore — we simply don't have to."
Attila wrapped the statement by confirming they would return home to Atlanta to finish recording their upcoming album.
The promoter's response to Attila's 2025 EU tour cancellation
Loud Farm Booking is a promoter tied to one of the cancelled shows. They posted their version of events. It contradicted Attila's.
According to Loud Farm, Attila and their crew arrived in Berlin on time, but then completely stopped communicating with both their booking agency and their own management. A tour bus was reportedly waiting outside their hotel, ready to take them to the venue. The promoter claims the bus was a "perfectly workable solution." However, the band pulled out without explanation or discussion.
A translated statement from Loud Farm reads:
"Our Saturday headliner Attila will not perform... The reason is that the band stopped communicating with management and the agency after arriving in Berlin. The tour was ready, the driver waited with the bus all day in front of the hotel, while the band decided not to communicate and suddenly canceled the entire European tour, even though they were already in Europe with the whole crew..."
It continued:
"Unfortunately, at this moment we have not been able to find an adequate replacement for a band like Attila. We know that many of you were looking forward to this band, but their reckless decision to cancel the entire tour at the last minute is something we can't fix at this moment...
"The only compensation we can currently offer is a 50% discount on a Sunday ticket to everyone who bought a ticket for Saturday—so that at least you can enjoy proper headliners on Sunday... We deeply apologize for these complications, we'll make it up to you next time."
The promoter also shared part of an email from what appears to be Attila's management. It suggested the band canceled the run without talking to their team or the agency. As per a report by Lamb Goat, the e-mail read:
"…Sadly I have some bad news to share with you. Attila flew into Berlin yesterday afternoon to start their European summer tour today. Sadly we received the news earlier today that the band decided to cancel their full tour shortly after arrival, due to an 'issue' with their bus. Their bus supplier provided a perfectly workable solution for them to start the tour as planned, but the band made up their mind and one-sided made the decision to cancel the full thing, without speaking to us nor to their own manager.
"Both their management and us have been trying to get a hold of the band throughout the day to discuss and work out a solution for a non-existing problem. but sadly all members have been radio silent and nobody has been able to have a proper conversation with them.
"It has become clear now they have no intention to still do this tour (even though they still flew to Berlin just yesterday) and are 100% cancelling all shows, without talking to anyone in their team nor providing clarification for promoters. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience caused here, and wish I could provide you with more insight in their situation."
