The Pretty Girl singer, Clairo, has been making waves on the internet as she recently cancelled her performance at Primavera Sound 2025. On Friday, Primavera announced through their official Instagram handle that Clairo has cancelled her performance this year.
The reason behind the cancellation is cited to be some logistical issues. The festival is scheduled to begin on June 5 and conclude on June 7, 2025, at Parc del Fòrum, Barcelona, Spain.
Clairo was supposed to perform on June 6 at the festival, along with other artists and bands including Sabrina Carpenter, TV On The Radio, and Wet Leg, among others.
Clairo cancels her upcoming performance for Primavera Sound 2025
Caliro, who is best known for her singles like Sofia and Bags, has recently announced that she will not be performing at the Primavera Sound 2025 music festival.
Primavera Sound announced their Instagram stories on May 9, 2025. They wrote:
"We regret to announce that Caliro has cancelled her performance at Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025. We are deeply saddened by this news and share the fans’ frustration. We, too, were very much looking forward to welcoming her again at Primavera Sound Barcelona.”
Below the above note, they shared a statement from Clairo for her fans. The statement read:
''Hi Barcelona friends. Unfortunately, I’m not able to make it to Primavera this year and I’m so sad about it, because Primavera is iconic and returning to the fest is something I’ve been looking forward to for ages.''
The statement continues:
“There are some logistical issues with getting my show to/from Primavera that have forced my hand here. I never want to give my fans anything but the absolute best set I can do, and that won’t be possible at this time. I’m so sorry again and I hope to be able to make it up to you sooner than later.”
Although Clairo won't be performing at the Primavera Sound this year, she will be performing at other events, including Lollapalooza in Chicago, BST Hyde Park in London, and All Things Go in Washington and New York.
Primavera Sound has a brilliant lineup and will include artists like Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan for headlining the festival. The festival will also feature sets from Fontaines DC, Clairo, Haim, LCD Soundsystem, and FKA Twigs.
It will also include acts by Caribou, Anohni, Denzel Curry, Chat Pile, Parcels, Beach House, and TV On The Radio. Other than Barcelona, the festival has also expanded to other cities, including Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Porto, and Los Angeles.
Other than hosting some brilliant sets, the festival also focuses on gender-balanced lineups and supports local and international artists, giving the guests a wide musical experience.
