Travis Scott's Coachella set was one of the most talked about sets of Coachella 2025. However, as per the recent reports, the promoter and organizer of Coachella, Goldenvoice, has to pay a hefty fine for Travis Scott's set.
Travis Scott was scheduled to perform at the Coachella Stage at 12 AM on April 12. However, Scott's set exceeded the time limit by three minutes, which was past the City of Indio's curfew of 1 AM. Scott's set started later than scheduled due to delays.
According to the rules, Goldenvoice is now liable to pay a $20,000 fine for Travis Scott's Coachella weekend one set to the city where the festival took place. Under a 2013 city permit, Goldenvoice is required to end shows by 1 AM on Friday and Saturday and by midnight on Sunday. If a show runs late, Goldenvoice is liable to pay $20,000 and then $1,000 for each minute after the first five minutes.

Coachella 2023 was no different. During weekend one, the festival ran past the allowed time, with performances by Bad Bunny, DJ Calvin Harris, and Frank Ocean. This extended timing led to a fine of $117,000. The same happened during Weekend 2 when Bad Bunny returned to the stage along with other artists, including Skrillex.
Their sets also ran late, adding another $51,000 to the fines. Altogether, Goldenvoice had to pay $168,000 for not sticking to the city's curfew rules. Alongside Coachella, the company also manages the Stagecoach Music Festival.
