According to multiple online reports, NBA YoungBoy’s concert in Chicago was cancelled just two days before the original date, allegedly due to safety concerns.
The concert was scheduled to be held on September 24, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois, at the United Center. X account, Kurrco shared the news, which featured screenshots of NBA YoungBoy’s manager, Alex Junnier's, Instagram stories. In one story, he wrote:
“[tagged United Center] b*tched out.”
In another story, Junnier gave a shoutout to Joe Myhra, Senior Vice President of Operations and Administration at the United Center. Slamming Myhra, he wrote that:
“he didn’t want us to have fun.”
The decision comes amid NBA YoungBoy’s ongoing feud with Westside Merchandising, which has sued the rapper for allegedly breaching an exclusive apparel and merchandise deal with the company. The retail partner paid the rapper $1 million in advance.
All we know about NBA YoungBoy’s MASA tour
NBA YoungBoy is currently on his MASA tour, officially known as Make America Slime Again. This is his fourth concert tour in support of his eighth studio album, MASA (2025), released in July 2025 through Never Broke Again and Motown.
The tour began on September 1, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, and will run through November 12, 2025, concluding in Seattle, Washington. The 27-City tour will feature special guests such as Offset, Toosii, DeeBaby, Mellow Rackz, Lil Dump, and k3.
According to a report in iHeart, the tour will be covering major cities in states like California, Colorado, Arizona, Missouri, Illinois, Florida, New York, and more.

The MASA tour is the 25-year-old rapper’s first headline tour since he was released from prison in March 2025. He was reportedly sentenced to 23 months in federal prison for gun charges and drug-related offences, according to The Guardian. He was arrested in April 2024 and faced multiple charges.
The Guardian reported that YoungBoy acknowledged that while filming a Baton Rouge video, he was illegally in possession of a Glock 21 .45-calibre pistol and a Masterpiece Arms MPA30T 9mm handgun. He said:
“I let my situation get the best of me. I take full responsibility.”
Initially, his agreement resulted in a 23-month sentence, with five years’ probation and a $200,000 fine, but changed as he was released early from prison in March 2025 after serving only 11 months in jail.
Safety concerns surrounding NBA YoungBoy during his Chicago MASA tour’s recent cancellation also stem from his ongoing rivalry with the Chicago drill rappers, including Lil Durk and his OTF (Only The Family) crew. The tension between them escalated following the killing of King Von, an OTF affiliate.
Many of YoungBoy’s tour performances have been marred by security issues. This includes the 2017 Baton Rouge incident, the 2020 Utah shooting outside his Salt Lake City concert, and the 2023 Florida concert when a man was injured with a stray bullet.
Recently, during his concert in T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, an employee named Tomas was assaulted by a teenager, who pushed him to the ground and punched him repeatedly, according to Fox 4.
