Singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne has officially postponed his Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour to 2026. He has cited recovery from a medical issue.

The trek was originally slated for 2025 and was designed to celebrate two decades since the release of Ray LaMontagne's beloved 2004 album, Trouble. However, a recent emergency oral surgery has resulted in what LaMontagne describes as a "lengthy healing process". This has caused a full-year delay for the North American dates.

The rescheduled tour will now officially launch on August 23, 2026, at the Red Butte Garden Amphitheater in Salt Lake City, Utah. It will continue through October 3, 2026. The run is now set to end with a three-night stint at Beacon Theatre in New York City. In the UK and Ireland, the tour will run from May 20 to June 9, 2026, with stops in Dublin, London, and multiple other cities.

Ray LaMontagne took to his official Instagram page to announce the tour postponement. The post read:

"Due to a lengthy healing process after an unexpected oral surgery, Ray LaMontagne's 2025 North America Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour with The Weather Station has been rescheduled to 2026. All previously issued tickets will be honored for only their show's new date."

The post continued:

"If you are unable to attend the rescheduled performance, please contact your original point of purchase for further assistance. Ray LaMontagne's 2026 rescheduled shows in Toronto, ON & Greenville, SC will be announced at a later date."

Ray LaMontagne has stated that all previously issued tickets will remain valid for their corresponding rescheduled dates. Attendees unable to make the new dates are advised to contact their original point of purchase for a refund.

Why was the tour postponed?

The reason behind the postponement is an unexpected oral surgery that requires significant time to recover. Details about the exact nature of the procedure have not been shared publicly. However, Ray LaMontagne made it clear that performing during recovery was not possible.

It is worth noting that some scheduled stops, such as the Boise, Idaho date at the Morrison Center, have been canceled entirely rather than rescheduled. On the other hand, other dates have shifted to the corresponding 2026 calendar slots.

The rescheduling impacts both the North American and international legs of Ray LaMontagne's tour. However, not all previously announced cities have confirmed new dates. Notably, Toronto, Ontario, and Greenville, South Carolina, are absent from the current list. Hence, new dates are expected to be announced later.
