Why is Yoon Ji Yoon departing from Izna? Reasons explained

WAKEONE has officially confirmed the departure of Yoon Ji Yoon due to health reasons. According to an official statement released by the company, it said,

“After careful and lengthy consideration, Yoon Ji Yoon will be concluding her activities as a member of the group due to health reasons.”

The statement added:

“She has been focusing on rest and recovery since the beginning of this year, and during that time, we have had extensive discussions with her about her future. As a result, we have mutually agreed to prioritize her health.”

Yoon Ji Yoon made her debut with Izna in November 2024 after participating in Mnet’s survival program “I-LAND 2: N/a.” Yoon Ji-yoon took a break from her activities just three months after her debut. The agency stated at that time:

“Due to health concerns and condition issues, she has decided to take a break for sufficient rest and recovery.”

Izna is a South Korean girl group formed under WakeOne Entertainment that made its debut in November 2024. The group consisted of members, including Mai, Bang Jeemin, Yoon Ji Yoon, Koko, Ryu Sarang, Choi Jung Eun, and Jeong Sae Bi. The group's name, Izna, is derived from the phrase meaning "Anytime, Anywhere, Anything.” The group is managed by WakeOne.
