BTS’ Jin was recently spotted at the Gimpo International Airport (GMP) in South Korea to attend his Echo Hi-Touch event in Japan.

The Echo Hi-Touch event in Japan is a special fan engagement held to celebrate the release of his second solo album, Echo. This event has been eagerly anticipated by his fans. Previously, the event was scheduled to be held on May 31, 2025.

According to a report in Billboard, Echo was released on May 16, 2025. It is the follow-up to Jin’s solo debut album, Happy.

Many posts about Jin’s departure from Gimpo International Airport have circulated on social media, with fans expressing their excitement.

When netizens recently caught BTS member Jin at the Gimpo International Airport, they couldn’t contain their excitement. They immediately took to social media to wish him a safe flight as he departed for his Echo Hi-Touch Event in Japan. The outpouring of affection from his fans reflects the strong connection between Jin and his global fan base.

However, some users wondered if he would be back in time to South Korea around the time the remaining BTS members - RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga are discharged from mandatory military service.

According to Billboard, a statement announcing the release of Jin’s recent album Echo read:

“Aiming to connect on a deeper level with fans through music, Echo offers Jin’s perspective on universal life experiences, capturing everyday emotions with warmth and sincerity.”

It continued to add:

“Built on dynamic band sounds, the album showcases his versatile vocals across a spectrum of moods and styles. It reflects a deeper layer of vocal maturity and personal storytelling that underscores Jin’s evolving artistry.”

BTS has been on hiatus since June 2022 to allow members to complete their mandatory South Korean military service. They are expected to reunite this month, June 2025. According to a report in Mashable, while Jin and J-Hope have already completed their mandatory military service in June and in October last year, others are also set to return home.
