Though her on-screen lover just died, One Life to Live fans don't have to worry about Bree Williamson (Jessica Buchanan) going anywhere. A show sources says that Williamson has signed a new contract with the ABC soap.
It is expected that One Life to Live's writers will revisit Jessica's dissociative identity disorder.
Online rumormongers went wild earlier this year when it was revealed that Forbes March (Nash Brennan) had been let go from One Life to Live. There had been speculation by some that March and Williamson would ride off into the sunset together. In the wake of Nash's tragic fall through a skylight last week, it soon became very clear that that would not happen.
Williamson joined the One Life to Live cast in February 2003. Then a newcomer to acting, Williamson had the difficult task of taking over the role of Jessica from actress Erin Torpey, the actress who had essentially created the role of Jessica. Torpey played Jessica for 13 years and literally grew up before viewers' eyes.
