Tuc Watkins signs OLTL contract

One Life to Live fans have gotten accustomed to the short-term returns of Tuc Watkins. Every few months, David Vickers pops into Llanview -- then he leaves. Now, Watkins will be appearing on the ABC soap for an extended run. He's signed a contract with the show.

By now, One Life to Live fans are used to the seasonal return of Tuc Watkins (David Vickers) to the show. The actor is once again headed back to Llanview, but this time things are a little different. Watkins has signed a contract with the ABC soap.

Watkins last appeared on One Life to Live in January, but it's been more than three years since he's been on contract. Watkins first joined the cast of One Life to Live in 1994, though he left just two years later. He returned in 2001 and 2002 on a recurring basis before going back on contract the following years. Watkins remained on-contract through 2006 and has made more than half-a-dozen short-term returns since then.

For the forseeable future, Watkins will be pulling double duty. He appears on-stage in the off-Broadway production of White's Lies alongside Tony winner Betty Buckley. White's Lies is currently in previews and has its official opening on May 6. The show is slated to run for eight weeks. For ticketing information, please visit: www.whitesliesonstage.com

Watkins also appears in the recurring role of attorney Bob Hunter on ABC's primetime soap, Desperate Housewives. The show is currently on its summer hiatus.

A One Life to Live spokesperson was unable to confirm a first airdate for Watkins.
