John Brotherton, known to soap fans for his role as Jared Banks on One Life to Live, will be hitting the streets at full speed when he joins the Fast & Furious franchise in Fast & Furious 7. According to an article on deadline.com, Brotherton will play Sheppard, the right-hand man to another new character played by Kurt Russell.

Brotherton played Jared Banks on One Life to Live from 2007 to 2010. The character conned everyone into thinking he was Asa Buchanan's son. Eventually, Natalie Buchanan discovered the lie, and she and Jared fell in love and married. Their wedded bliss was short-lived, though, as Mitch Laurence shot and killed Jared not long after.

Here's hoping Brotherton's character has better luck in Fast & Furious 7, which is shooting in Atlanta and will also star Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Lucas Black, Jason Statham, and Djimon Hounsou.
