Jensen Buchanan (ex-Vicky, Another World and As the World Turns; ex-Sarah, One Life to Live), her agent and ABC are currently been sued by Televest Daytime Programs and Procter & Gamble Productions, as well as the producers of As the World Turns, for making "repeated appearances" on General Hospital while still under contract to Televest. Televest was reportedly afraid that Buchanan's appearance on General Hospital would clue in ATWT viewers as to Vicky's fate on the show, thereby causing a lack of interest in the story's conclusion and a loss of advertising revenue.
Buchanan aired on General Hospital in the contract role of Melissa, a woman from Roy DiLucca's (A Martinez) past, on Monday, Janaury 29th and Tuesday, January 30th. A different actress was playing the role when Melissa appeared again on Tuesday, February 6th. Buchanan is under exclusive contract to Televest only until February 17th, and it has been reported that she will be returning to play Melissa once that contract has expired.
