One Life to Live viewers will soon be getting to know the Montez family. As previously reported, A Martinez will be the patriarch of the family. ABC has, however, cast an additional Montez family member and another is on the way.
Jacqueline Hendy will join the cast of One Life to Live later this month in the newly created role of Vanessa Montez. The character's surname gives away that she will be tied to the arrival of Emmy-winning actor A Martinez (Ray Montez) on the ABC soap.
Hendy's new alter ego is the wife of A Martinez's character. Both characters will have ties to a character already on the canvas: Langston Wilde, who is Ray's niece. The show is also currently working to cast the role of Lola, Vanessa and Ray's daughter. [Story update: OLTL casts Lola]

Hendy's role on One Life to Live will be her first daytime role. The actress has, however, made numerous primetime appearances. Her previous work includes Chappelle's Show, Law & Order, and The Black Donnelleys. Hendy will also be seen in the feature film, My Normal, due out sometime next year.
Vanessa won't be spotted in Llanview for some time. The character will be seen opposite Jared in scenes that take place in Colombia. Hendy first airs on September 16th.
