Soap fans looking for another venue to see their favorite soap stars have long known that they can check out any number of productions on and off Broadway. One Life to Live favorite, Peter Bartlett (Nigel Bartholomew-Smythe) co-stars in the off-Broadway comedy, What's That Smell: The Music of Jacob Sterling. And now, soapcentral.com fans have a chance to win a pair of tickets to see What's That Smell: The Music if Jacob Sterling as well as an autographed Playbill.
What's That Smell: The Music of Jacob Sterling is a musical parody written by and starring Tony Award nominee David Pittu. The production has been called both "deliciously over the top" and "affectionately bitchy and seriously funny" by critics. What's That Smell is a send up of the up-and-coming musical theater composer, Jacob Sterling, and his struggle to keep musical theater alive well into the 21st century. Audiences will learn that Sterling is an artist with questionable gifts -- and he is totally fictional.
What's That Smell: The Music of Jacob Sterling plays on Monday and Wednesday through Saturday at 8:00pm. There are also Saturday matinees at 2:00pm and Sunday performances at 3:00pm and 7:00pm. Tuesdays are dark. Tickets are $55.00 and $65.00, and are available by calling Telecharge at 212-239-6200, online at www.telecharge.com, or in person at the box office. Student tickets are available for $25.00 on the day of the performance at the box office only with a valid student ID.
