Susan Bedsow Horgan and Thom Racina have been named the new head writers of Prospect Park's One Life to Live reboot. The pair's hiring comes just a few days after Prospect Park reached an agreement with the Writers Guild of America.

Now that Prospect Park has reached a deal with the Writers Guild of America, the company is ready to start assembling the writing team for One Life to Live. Susan Bedsow Horgan and Thom Racina have been named co-head writers for the series reboot. Both writers come with extensive background in the world of daytime.

Horgan has plenty of experience in Llanview. She began her run in daytime behind-the-scenes as a production secretary for One Life to Live. Eventually, Horgan transitioned to the show's writing team, and, in 1994, earned a Daytime Emmy win as part of One Life to Live's writing team. In the mid-1990s, Horgan served as executive producer of One Life to Live. Horgan left OLTL -- and daytime -- after she was let go from the show in 1996.

Horgan's 20-year career also includes stops on As the World Turns and Guiding Light.

Racina's proverbial pen is responsible for thousands of hours of television. He began as a writer for Search For Tomorrow in 1980, before moving on to Another World, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, Generations, Santa Barbara, and Search for Tomorrow. During his GH tenure, Racina had the honor of being part of the team that wrote Luke and Laura's landmark wedding.

Racina's daytime career earned him five Daytime Emmy nominations.

Outside of daytime, Racina has written for primetime, including the acclaimed series Family. He is also a published author, with more than 100 titles under his belt.

Prospect Park confirmed last week that production on One Life to Live and All My Children will resume in February. As of this time, head writers have yet to be named for AMC.
