A Working Man: David Ayer’s new Jason Statham film written by Sylvester Stallone drops an official trailer

A Working Man, starring Jason Statham, has finally gotten its first trailer, and the film promises to be thrilling. Amazon MGM Studios released the trailer on January 9, 2025.

Written by Sylvester Stallone and directed by David Ayer, who is once again collaborating with Statham, the trailer shows him in pursuit of looking for a missing girl in the action feature. The film is set to release on March 28, 2025.

The film revolves around Statham, who plays Levon Cade. He leaves behind his simple life as a construction worker to look for his boss' daughter. It is also revealed that he used to be a black ops agent but resorted to living a more normal life.

In the trailer Statham says,

“This isn’t just some kidnapping. This is human trafficking. Gangs, the Mob, corrupt government officials — they’re all involved in human trafficking.”

A Working Man is the second time Statham is collaborating with David Ayer after they came together for The Beekeeper which was released on January 12, 2024, another action-packed thriller widely loved by the audience and garnered over $150 million at the box office.

The film garnered appreciation from critics and fans and might get a sequel soon. However, there has been no official announcement for the same.

As mentioned, the plot will surround Jason Statham's return to his black ops agent life to investigate the missing case of his boss' daughter. In doing so, he discovers deeper secrets about the human trafficking system and how even government officials are a part of it.

The action promises to be a big part of the film, as is usually the case for any Jason Statham film. The film also stars David Harbour as another military agent, who Statham befriends as he helps him get weapons for his mission.

A Working Man is based on Chuck Dixon's novel Levon's Trade which came out in 2014.

The official synopsis for the film reads,

"Levon Cade left behind a decorated military career in the black ops to live a simple life working construction. But when his boss’ daughter, who is like family to him, is taken by human traffickers, his search to bring her home uncovers a world of corruption far greater than he ever could have imagined."

The film also stars Jason Flemyng, Merab Ninidze, Maximilian Osinski, Cokey Falkow, Noemi Gonzalez, Arianna Rivas, Emmett J. Scanlan, and Eve Mauro. A Working Man is all set to come to theatres on March 29.
