Top 5 Shocking Truths Exposed in Alex Cooper’s Documentary
Here is everything we know about Alex Cooper’s five shocking revelations made in her latest documentary, titled Call Her Alex.
Alex Cooper alleged that she was sexually harassed by her soccer coach
The Call Her Daddy podcast host, Alex Cooper, accused her soccer coach at Boston University, Nancy Feldman, of sexual harassment. She experienced the ordeal for three years until she finally decided to leave soccer in her senior year.

She said that Feldman made comments about her body and took an interest in her sex life. She also alleged that her coach would try to get her alone and put a hand on her thigh. In case Cooper tried to resist her, she told her “there would be consequences.”
According to the New York Post, Cooper said in her documentary:
“It was this psychotic game of, ‘You wanna play? Tell me about your sex life. I have to drive you to your night class, get in the car with me alone.’ I started trying to spend as little time as possible with her. Taking different routes to practice where I knew I wouldn’t run into her, during meetings, I would try to sit as far away from her as possible. Literally anything to not be alone with this woman.”
The fallout between Alex Cooper and Sofia Franklyn
In her new docuseries, Call Her Alex, Alex Cooper opened up about what happened between her and her former co-host, Sofia Franklyn, who started the Call Her Daddy podcast with her in 2018, per a report in US Weekly.
Franklyn allegedly left the show in 2020 due to a business dispute with Cooper and distributor Barstool Sports. Speaking about the claims made in public about her long-term friendship with her co-host, Cooper shared that they had only known each other for a few months before launching the show, according to a report in Marie Claire.
As the podcast gained popularity, they reportedly tried to renegotiate a three-year, $70,000 deal with Barstool Sports. According to Cooper, the company asked them to stay for one more year and gain full ownership of the show. While she was interested in the deal, Franklyn backed out. Cooper told,
“I realized the Daddy Gang was bigger than both of us. When I was going out on my own, I had to look inward and figure out where I wanted to take the show. I’ve never done a podcast where I have to talk for an hour by myself.”
She continued on her own and even recorded her first episode alone from her parents' basement.
The impact of Call Her Daddy’s sexual nature on her family and community
Alex Cooper’s family, particularly her parents, were initially uncomfortable and even distressed by the explicit content of her podcast. Her infamous “Gluck Gluck 9000” episode aired in 2018, where she gives a detailed description of oral sex technique, was not received well by her extended family, and they were judged by their community. Cooper's mother, Laurie Cooper, said:
"You know, if I can be a little bold about my daughter, our town, it was turning things upside down. People were talking about it, like, 'How could she do this? She's a good kid. She was raised well.'"
Her father, Bryan Cooper, shared:
"Even at some of these tour shows, they look at me and they're like, 'Are you ok with this?'" "They give me that look and I'm like, 'Yeah.'"
Over time, her parents understood the mission of her podcast, where she empowered women to speak openly about sex and relationships. They ultimately supported her, per a report in Newsweek.
Alex Cooper’s Unwell Tour almost didn’t happen
According to Elle magazine, Alex Cooper’s Unwell Tour almost didn’t happen due to a major crisis just before it was set to begin. As revealed in her documentary, Call Her Alex, her film was about to begin two weeks before her first-ever live show. Cooper’s fans came from far to see her, and she felt intense pressure to deliver “the best damn show that they’ve ever seen in their lives.”
But the day before the tour in Boston, her production manager said that he is burned out and threatened to quit. However, Cooper managed the situation by personally speaking to him. He says in the documentary:
“It’s very hard to say no to Alex Cooper.”

When Alex Cooper returned to the soccer pitch of Boston University to film a part for her latest documentary, Call Me Alex, she revealed that she felt “small.” According to Marie Claire, this is what she revealed during the Q&A session in the documentary:
“The minute I stepped back on that field, I felt so small. I just felt like I was 18 years old again and I was in a situation with someone in a position of power who abused that power.”
She continued,
“I felt like I wasn’t the Call Her Daddy girl. I wasn’t someone who had money and influence or whatever. I was just another woman who experienced harassment on a level that changed my life forever and took away the thing I loved the most.”
In 2023, Cooper launched her media company called Trending and the Unwell podcast network with her husband, Matt Kaplan. She also released an electrolyte drink and partnered with the National Women’s Soccer League.
Call Her Alex premiered on Hulu on June 10, as both episodes dropped at once.
