In the middle of the ongoing federal trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs, rapper 50 Cent escalated his long-time feud with Diddy by posting an AI-generated video on social media.
The video, portraying Combs as being arrested, was posted right after the witness testimony from Combs' former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who testified on different kinds of abuse suffered by her at his hands during the relationship.
50 Cent's post soon went viral online. This event is one of a larger trend of 50 Cent utilizing online media to critique and poke fun at Combs during his court struggles.
As jury selection began in Diddy's federal trial on racketeering and s*x trafficking charges, 50 Cent ramped up his online trolling with another AI-created video.
Captioned with a laughing emoji and "LOL who made this hahahaha HA," the post garnered popularity on all social media sites almost instantly.
50 Cent's AI-generated video on Diddy gained everyone's attention
The fictional, AI-created video making the rounds on social media presents a dreamlike, over-the-top scenario in which Sean "Diddy" Combs lives within a jail cell. In the video, Diddy is seen lounging on a bed inside the walls of a prison cell, drinking baby oil.
The clip is part of the increasing number of memes and satirical materials directed at Diddy as the public observes the playing out of the federal trial. Though the case itself is serious, much of the online chatter has been in jest, with people posting the video extensively.
A sneak peek into the Diddy and Cassie case
The highly publicized court case presented testimonies this week that gave new insights into the dire claims made by R&B singer Cassie Ventura against music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, her ex-boyfriend of nearly a decade.
Speaking at length, Cassie Ventura outlined a series of disturbing events that allegedly occurred throughout their relationship, including complaints of physical abuse, s*xual coercion, and staged encounters with male escorts, referred to in court as "freak-off" sessions, which she asserts were videotaped by Sean Diddy Combs without her consent.
They were non-consensual and based on fear, threats, and in certain cases, coercion. Ventura also spoke about an alleged r*pe in 2018 after she attempted to end the relationship.
Defense lawyers disputed her version of events, showing prior messages and communications that showed her as eager to be part of their lifestyle, as well as some emotional outbursts that they claimed raised doubts about her credibility.
Cassie Ventura then replied that her public demeanor was a survival tactic that covered up long-term psychological trauma. The prosecution also summoned other witnesses, including ex-Danity Kane member Dawn Richard, who testified to witnessing Combs physically attack Ventura in 2009.
Additional testimonies, including some from anonymous women, are to follow. Ventura also revealed an out-of-court $20 million deal that Combs had made just after she brought a lawsuit toward the end of 2023, noting that her drive was not money but to make public what she termed as abuse that lasted for years and wrecked her health and ruined her music career.
As the courtroom drama unfolds, 50 Cent has taken his go-to path, Instagram posts, to offer his opinion on the accusations against Diddy. The rapper and entrepreneur, known for his unapologetic online rants, has been dropping a constant flow of reaction memes, combining dark humor with sharp jabs at his arch-nemesis.
