Some attendees, including popular streamers, claimed Brown acted in self-defense. According to them, he was targeted by a group attempting to steal his jewelry. In response, Brown allegedly fired shots—reportedly into the air.

Why did Antonio Brown fire shots?

The altercation reportedly began when a group of people allegedly tried to rob Antonio Brown. Witnesses said they went after his expensive chains and tried to corner him near the parking area.

Antonio Brown then pulled out a gun and fired several shots. It is believed he did not aim at anyone, but fired into the air. This was possibly to scare off the robbers and break up the crowd that had formed around him.

There is no confirmation from police yet on whether any of the robbers were caught. Most sources say Antonio Brown was the only person arrested at the scene, even though he might have been trying to defend himself.
