Brandon Blackstock and Kelly Clarkson - a brief history
Brandon Blackstock and Kelly Clarkson first met in 2012 and got married the following year. After a marriage lasting nearly seven years, the two filed for a divorce in 2020, which got finalized in 2022. A lengthy lawsuit also followed in the aftermath of their divorce, and Kelly shed light on their relationship in an interview with PEOPLE.
"I think the thing about divorce - especially having it publicized, and people thinking they know the whole thing - the hardest part of that is, like, it wasn't an overnight decision," Clarkson later said of the split in 2023. “I wanted to make it beautiful.
