"I am happy to stand with Israel": Caitlyn Jenner shares post from Tel Aviv as Iran launches missiles amid ongoing war

Recent developments in the Middle East have raised fears of a broader conflict breaking out in the region, after news came out of Iran launching a counterattack on Israel. Caitlyn Jenner has now thrown her weight behind Tel Aviv, as she joined a host of prominent celebrities to have voiced their opinions on the matter.

In the wake of Iran launching missiles at Israel, Caitlyn took to social media to express her support for Israel in the conflict. Caitlyn Jenner's post becomes even more significant as it comes directly from Tel Aviv, a site which is reportedly under attack by Iranian forces. The social media post shows what appears to be Iranian missiles in the Tel Aviv skyline, although that is yet to be confirmed by sources. She wrote the following in the social media post:

"‘Quiet’ night in Tel Aviv. Pray for us all. We will prevail. I am happy to stand with Israel today, now more than ever."

The post has caused widespread discussions on social media as well, with users also prophesying theories of impending wars. Although a missile attack was recently carried out in Tel Aviv, there seems to have been no reports of civilian casualties suffered by Israel at this point.

This wasn't the first time that Caitlyn Jenner has advocated for Israel either; she previously made visits to meet the survivors and families of those who were affected by Hamas' attacks in 2023. She has also made several appeals for the hostages to be released and has engaged in dialogues over their safe return with high-ranking Israeli officials as well.

What has caused tensions to escalate in the Middle East?

The states of Iran and Israel have been at loggerheads over the better part of the last century, but recent developments have forced the tension between these two states to extreme levels. The aid offered by Tehran to proxy organizations such as Hezbollah and Hamas, together with its quest to acquire nuclear weapons, has augmented aggression in the Middle East. Israel has already used this as a reason for aggression and has recently used airstrikes against Iran, killing a few high-ranking military officers in the process as well.

Although the broader world had expressed concerns regarding the heightening tensions and asked both parties to show restraint, Iran had chosen to ignore the pleas and had been giving warnings of retaliation ever since attacks were carried out on its land. It has now acted on those warnings, targeting several sites in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

The recent events have deepened international divisions on the global front, with experts and people alike currently split between showing their support for the two Middle Eastern regions. Amid increasing friction and the use of arms between the two parties, President Donald Trump has asked Tehran to back down from the aggression and sign the nuclear pact. In spite of the repeated pleas by world leaders, the situation remains volatile in the region.
