There have been some recent developments in the Diddy, also known as Sean Combs, case. As per reports by TMZ, a judge has dismissed the majority of claims in a lawsuit filed by former Making the Band singer Sara Rivers against Combs and his co-defendants.
Among the claims that were dismissed were serious accusations, including racketeering, assault and battery, forced labor, sexual harassment, and false imprisonment.
Out of the 22 allegations, 21 have been dismissed with prejudice, meaning Rivers won't be able to file those claims again. As per reports, only one claim remains active under the Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act. Rivers had initially filed the lawsuit against Combs in February 2025.
More about the recent claims against Diddy being dismissed
Earlier this year, in February, Sarah Rivers, who competed in Diddy's Making the Band had filed a $60 million lawsuit against him. In her lawsuit, she also named Bad Boy officials, Universal Music, and MTV as co-defendants.
As per People, in the lawsuit, she claimed that she was sexually harassed by Combs and made to work under inhuman conditions. Her lawsuit also mentioned that Combs sometimes made scary threats to members of her music group, by saying things like he’d “eat the face” of one person and kill another. She also claimed that he often yelled at her and made fun of her.
Rivers also said at the time that even after the music group had disbanded, Combs would interfere with her music career and blackmail her. Diddy's team denied the accusations, and they said that he never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone, and called Rivers' accusations false. As per Hip Hop, this is what Combs's legal team had said in a statement:
''This is yet another example of false claims being filed against Mr. Combs. No matter how many lawsuits are filed — especially by individuals who refuse to put their own names behind their claims — it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor. We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason.''
Last month, Combs was found not guilty on racketeering and sex trafficking charges, and guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act. The sentencing is scheduled for October 2025.
