Did Meghan Markle ask Tina Knowles for parenting advice while raising Lilibet?

Meghan Markle recently welcomed Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, on her Confessions of a Female Founder podcast. Knowles, who co-runs the haircare brand Cécred with her daughter, Beyoncé, engaged in an insightful discussion with Meghan that gave fans a glimpse into the Duchess' parenting approach and the aspirations she holds for her daughter, Lilibet.

Meghan Markle also recently launched her lifestyle brand, As ever, which has been quite a hit amongst customers. The Duchess' parenting choices have often been a topic of public interest since welcoming her children, Archie and Lilibet, the latter of whom just turned four years old. Meghan marked the occasion by posting a heartfelt message on Instagram.

The conversation on Meghan Markle's podcast episode focused on the possibility of her launching a business venture with her daughter Lilibet in the future. Knowles also shared her experiences and offered advice on raising daughters in the spotlight. As the Duchess of Sussex picked Knowles' brains, she gave Meghan a couple of pointers on the dynamics of a mother-daughter business venture:

"There are difficulties sometimes because when you’re dealing with your child or they’re dealing with their mother. You have disagreements and you have to—I’m the one to always cave. I’ve been like that since I was young. If my kids are mad at me, I can’t take it. So, I’ll cave, I’ll apologize. Not that they ran over me because they were really good kids, but even as adults, if we have a disagreement or whatever, I’m the one to call because I don’t want to waste that time, and I don’t ever want to not be close to my kids. It’s just my priority.”

She then went on to add:

"We have disagreements about things, but it’s her business. I’m helping with the business because I just want to leave this earth knowing that she is, other than entertainment, is going to be okay. That’s a big part of it for me. But overall, we get along really, really well"

While giving Meghan Markle advice, Knowles made sure to stress the importance of individual attention to each child, something that clearly worked wonders in her own family. Lilibet might one day join her mother in business ventures, according to the Duchess’s recent comments, and Knowles' advice is sure to come in handy later down the line.

The deeper connection between Meghan Markle and Tina

Tina Knowles and Meghan's relationship extends beyond casual friendship. Tina has been publicly supportive of Meghan, especially during periods of intense media scrutiny.
