Did Nara Smith reportedly use a surrogate to birth Baby No. 4? Model seemingly addresses ongoing speculations

South African influencer Nara Smith, who is married to model Lucky Blue Smith, welcomed their fourth child earlier in October 2025. They had a daughter, Fawnie Golden Smith. However, according to reports by Us Weekly and People Magazine, the birth of the baby welcomed speculations that the couple chose surrogacy this time.

Seemingly responding to these claims, Smith shared a photo of her holding the baby on Instagram. Previously, they had posted photos and videos of the pregnancy journey on Instagram, some of which showed her flaunting her baby bump. However, in the caption of the recent post, Nara Smith wrote:

“Women’s bodies are pure magic- divinely designed to create, grow and nurture life. we become the bridge between heaven and earth guiding life into this world. With that our bodies transform and stretch.”

The post continued:

“I used to feel the need to bend and force it back into how it used to look only to realize that it has been home to four other bodies. This final stage is filled with grace and slowing down [white heart emoji].”

Nara Smith and Lucky have two daughters and a son, and Fawnie is the newest member of the family. Their eldest daughter, Rumble Honey, is four, while their son, Slim Easy, is three. The other daughter, Whimsy Lou, is 18 months old. Speaking to GQ in 2024, she opened up about her desire to have more children. She said:

“It felt like a natural thing, ‘Yeah, I think I’m ready to have kids.’ When I’m 40, they’ll be 20, and we’ll grow up together. I want to build my life with them rather than trying to integrate them into my life later and it worked out great. I love being a young mom.”

The names that Nara Smith had in mind for her fourth baby

According to People Magazine, Nara Smith recently shared a TikTok in which she discussed some of the names they had in mind for their fourth baby, even though they ultimately named her Fawnie. She mentioned that her children already had unique names. Smith said that if their fourth baby turned out to be a boy, they would have named him either Denim Dice, Silver Gray Walker, or Lucky. However, since Lucky was already her husband’s name, she said she would have been biased about it.

Sharing the names they had in mind if it were a girl, Nara Smith said:

“My girls' list is a little longer. I love the name Lace, Ruffle, Flora, Jo, [and] Wonder. I love the name Dainty, Penny, Meadow. Ribbon is really cute, and I love a good Dr. Seuss book, so I also really like the name Sola.”

She went on to say:

“Whisper, Lilac, and I just recently visited Bunny Mellon's estate, so that definitely was on our list for a very long time. I love the name Bunny as a first name and then Mellon as the second name.”

Nara Smith said that the other name she loved was Prim, which had a classic touch. The motto behind the TikTok video, according to her, was to help people who were struggling to find baby names.
