K-pop artist Park Bom shared a legal complaint on social media accusing YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk of fraud and embezzlement. However, she has now deleted the post that sparked controversy.
The singer, who is a member of the South Korean girl band 2NE1, halted activities since August due to her health issues. On October 22, 2025, she took to her Instagram to announce her lawsuit against the South Korean multinational entertainment agency.
However, Bom’s agency, D-Nation, has clarified that no official lawsuit has been filed. They stated all financial settlements related to her 2NE1 activities had been completed and denied the claims of unpaid settlements.
The agency shared a statement, noting that they “cannot control” her and were investigating the matter. X account of Pop Base shared the picture of her statement, which read:
“All settlements related to Park Bom’s activities with 2NE1 have already been completed, and there is no record of any complaint or lawsuit being filed, despite what was uploaded on social media.”

What did Park Bom write in her lawsuit?
Bom shared a picture of her police complaint against Yang Hyun-suk. In her now-deleted post, she accused the founder and former CEO of YG Entertainment of failing to pay her rightful earnings.
According to a report in No Musica, the post included a picture of “Letter of report” seemingly signed on October 19, 2025. She claimed that Yang refused to pay :
“1002003004006007001000034 '64272e trillion won of money.”

Boom added that she earned this money, “through music, performances, television appearances, advertisements, events, songwriting and composing.”
However, her current agency, D-Nation Entertainment, has denied her claims and stated in their recently released statement.
They added that Park Bom has halted her activities and is currently focusing on her treatment and recovery. Her post concluded by stating that the company will do its best to help the artist regain her health.
Bom took a break in August this year to focus on her health. Her agency, D-Nation, shared a health update stating that they are sad to inform the singer’s fans that her medical staff had advised her to take sufficient rest.
The statement read:
“We are deeply saddened to deliver this news, especially as so many fans have shown their support for 2NE1’s full-group activities. Since medical staff recently advised that she needs sufficient rest and stability, we reached this unavoidable decision after careful discussion."
They further added:
"We kindly ask fans to support Park Bom’s recovery. We also hope fans will continue to cheer on Sandara Park, CL and Gong Min-ji, who will give their best to ensure Park’s absence is not felt.”
Born on March 24, 1984, Park Bom is a South Korean singer. She studied at Gould Academy and played Soccer. She joined the K-pop girl group 2NE1 in 2009 under YG Entertainment. Following the group’s disbandment in November 2016, she joined D-Nation Entertainment. She released her first single, titled "Spring," in March 2019.
