A recent TMZ source clarified that the ring is just one from Reneé's own collection and not an engagement ring, confirming that she isn't engaged at the moment.

The two went public with their relationship last year during the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party red carpet. During a Cosmopolitan interview earlier this year, talking about Towa and if she will have an open relationship, Rapp dismissed the idea, saying:

"I’m with the person I love and I want to marry"

The ring made fans excited and hopeful that the two might be engaged. However, Reneé Rapp hasn't said anything about it on her social media. Still, after her recent Cosmopolitan comment about wanting to marry the person she loves, fans think a wedding might be on the cards, and the good news might come soon.

How did Reneé Rapp and Towa Bird meet for the first time?

Earlier this year, in May, Reneé Rapp appeared as a guest on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast. During the episode, the singer shared how she first met her now-girlfriend, Towa Bird, saying she already knew of her before they started dating and had asked one of her friends to introduce them.

Her friend warned that Towa might not be ready to meet anyone, but Rapp insisted, saying she could "at least be friends."

She added that when she told Towa Bird that she had heard about her, Towa replied,

"Why are you talking so much about me then?"

The two later met again and bonded over cars and movies, which eventually led to them starting to date. Speaking of her feelings at that time, Reneé Rapp added during the podcast:

"I was so beyond in love with her. I've never been so scared to fall in love with somebody in my life. I was like, "Oh, Jesus." I was like, we're either going to get married, or I can never speak to her again."

Towa Bird admitted her feelings for the first time during their visit to a beach. Before the two confirmed their relationship, Towa Bird also opened for Rapp's Snow Hard Feelings Tour in the US and European shows. Speaking of it, she told People at that time:

"Opening for Reneé Rapp this autumn makes me very proud. I’m honored to be able to perform for her audience."

Later, the two also performed together on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
