Diddy, also known as Sean Combs, is currently in the sixth week of his federal s*x trafficking and racketeering trial, with Monday, June 16, 2025, marking the 24th day of proceedings. The events that unfolded during the trial included the dismissal of Juror No. 6.
The court then heard testimony from Ananya Sankar, a paralegal specialist at the U.S. Attorney's Office. Afterwards, the jury was shown explicit video from the freak-offs.
Previously, the court heard testimony from Jonathan Perez, one of Combs' associates, who provided insights into Combs' lifestyle, and Jane, Diddy's ex-girlfriend, who testified under a pseudonym and gave the court a detailed account of the emotional and sexual abuse she endured in her relationship with Combs.
Key highlights of day 24 of Diddy's trial
On day 24 of the trial, the judge dismissed juror No. 6, citing a lack of candor as the reason for the dismissal. According to CNN, the dismissal was also due to the juror's inconsistent answers regarding his residency. At times, he claimed that he lived in the Bronx, while at other times he said he lived in New Jersey, which raised concerns about his credibility.
The juror, a 41-year-old Black man, was replaced by a white juror. The prosecutors then showed the jury the explicit videos of the freak-offs, involving Cassie Ventura, Combs, and a male escort. Previously, the jurors had only seen still images. However, on June 15, day 24 of the trial, they were shown the graphic videos with sound, according to The Daily Beast.
The court then heard testimony from Ananya Sankar, a paralegal specialist for the U.S. Attorney's Office. She reviewed messages and audio recordings between Diddy and his close assistant, Kristina "KK" Khorram, who assisted Combs with travel, financial, and drug-related arrangements. The messages exchanged between Combs and Kristina included discussions about booking flights, drugs, and hotel accommodations.
Messages between Cassie Venture and Kristina were also reviewed, in which Cassie expresses that she cannot endure the physical abuse. A few messages between Jane and Combs were also observed, where Jane expresses her desire not to be involved in the hotel nights and tells Diddy that she lost job opportunities because of her humiliating lifestyle, as per USA Today.
Before as the prosecution wraps up its case, the court will hear testimonies from Brendan Paul, a former Syracuse University basketball player who later worked for Combs, and Special Agent DeLeassa Penland. Diddy has been charged with five felony counts, including one count of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and two counts of transportation for prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. However, if convicted, he faces life imprisonment.
