Elon Musk’s most-awaited Tesla Diner is now open in Hollywood, California!
The news was announced by Tesla in a tweet on X on July 21, 2025, where the company described it as a “retro-futuristic” diner which comes with car charging, movie screens, among other facilities.
“Tesla Diner is retro-futuristic diner & drive-in charging experience all wrapped into one. 80 V4 Supercharger stalls are open to all NACS-compatible EVs, making it the largest urban Supercharger in the world.”
It features a drive-in movie theatre, full-service diner, and 80 ultra-fast V4 Supercharger stalls, designed with Musk’s futuristic flair. The place serves classic comfort food like burgers, hot dogs, and milkshakes, delivered in Cybertruck boxes.
The opening day drew huge crowds from people who arrived in their Tesla Model Ys and Cybertrucks. The diner will reportedly be open for customers 24/7, who can enjoy a movie experience or dine during the late hours.

The newly launched Tesla Diner comes with its unique humanoid robot, Optimus. Many video clips have gone viral featuring Optimus in which he is seen calmly serving popcorn to customers at a pre-launch event for the Hollywood diner.
Sawyer Merritt, a person on X, who reports on tech news, said that one can order food from their in-car screens through the Tesla diner app once it is connected to the diner WiFi. He further shared the list of items which are available at the futuristic diner.
In addition to burgers, hot dogs, and hand-spun milkshakes, the place offers Diner Club Sandwich, Tuna Melt, Fried Chicken & Waffles. The breakfast menu includes egg sandwich, avocado toast, tacos, biscuits & red gravy, and house-baked cinnamon roll. Sides features French fries, hash-brown bites, wagyu beef chilli cup, buttermilk waffle, and market salad.
It also features a specially designed kids’ menu, which includes a burger, grilled cheese, and chicken tenders. Customers are also given the option to choose from a range of drinks and desserts.
The Tesla Diner also includes Tesla-branded merchandise, two 45-foot LED movie screens, with audio that can sync directly to Tesla vehicles’ sound systems for immersive viewing. The diner boasts 80 v4 Supercharger stalls. Out of which 50 are installed in an adjoining backlot, per Forbes.
The report added that all V4 Superchargers are equipped with longer cables for easy access for the EVs. These Superchargers can charge up to 250 kW for Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y vehicles. Cybertruck vehicles can charge up to 325 kW.
In a tweet shared on July 21, 2025, Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared his plans on extending the Tesla Diner to other locations. He wrote on X,
“If our retro-futuristic diner turns out well, which I think it will, @Tesla will establish these in major cities around the world, as well as at Supercharger sites on long distance routes. An island of good food, good vibes & entertainment, all while Supercharging!”
According to a report in the Independent, Musk has also announced his plans to launch the Tesla Diner at Starbase, which is SpaceX’s launch complex in South Texas.
