Youtubers TheAnimeMan (Joey Bizinger) and Akidearest (Agnes Yulo Diego) confirmed they have been engaged. The duo have been dating for 8 years and will be completing their ninth year as an engaged couple on July 3, 2025. Joey and Agnes shared the news with their fans on Instagram.

Joey and Agnes are YouTube content creators who focus on Anime as their niche. The former has more than 3 million subscribers, while the latter has close to 3 million subscribers on YouTube. X user @Dexerto shared the engagement's pictures and noted that they met through YouTube.

Akidearest confirmed the news of her engagement with TheAnimeMan through an Instagram post. She revealed, "Joey proposed in Madagascar," while the duo were on a trip. Shortly after the announcement, Joey shared a video titled, 'I proposed to my girlfriend' on his YouTube channel. He acknowledged that they had been together for "9 years," and it was about time he popped the question.

In his vlog, the two can be seen roaming around Madagascar, during which Joey reveals his decision to propose to Akidearest in their hotel room. In a personal moment, Joey pops the question, and Aki can be heard saying "Oh my god" and proceeds to say "Yes."

Akidearest also posted a YouTube video of the confirmation and captioned it as,

"and it all began in the youtube dm's with me looking for someone to read a doujin about gardevoir real tears."
