The streaming controversies made big news this year.

This year has been a busy year for streamers. Many creators became popular and gained fans and attention online. At the same time, there were many moments when popular streamers faced negative reactions from viewers. In some cases, their actions during live streams even led to restrictions or bans on their accounts.

1) Jean Pormanove

Jean Pormanove's death was a shock to the streaming community after the user was found dead on his livestream due to lack of sleep. After his death, two creators named Naruto and Safine received heavy backlash for allegedly forcing Jean into harmful substances. Along with the creators, Kick also faced backlash for not having strong guidelines. The platform was close to being banned in France after the incident, but recent reports say the French court has rejected the request.


2) Vitaly Zdorovetskiy

Vitaly was arrested in Pasay City for harassing and creating problems for people on his livestream. He received backlash and was taken into custody on three criminal counts. Since then, he has been under police arrest, with his last Instagram post uploaded in March. Philippine Star, giving details about the case at that time, reportedly stated:

"Zdorovetskiy, 33, is facing three counts of unjust vexation in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act, two cases of theft and one charge of attempted theft."

3) Pirate Software

During the World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore run, Pirate Software and his teammates were in a situation where the player decided to escape instead of helping out his teammates. For the action, he received heavy backlash from his fans and even the streaming community, who stated that he could have saved them. He was also removed from OnlyFangs by the leader of the group, Sodapoppin.


4) RaKai

RaKai received major backlash from fans in June for unsafe driving. While livestreaming, the streamer started using his phone without paying attention to the road. At one point, he soon lost control of the car. He soon stopped the car and started using his phone again. He was also reportedly banned for promoting risky driving.


5) Mang0 and Cloud9

During the Beerio Kart World Cup, popular streamer Mang0 was seen behaving weirdly around other streamers after consuming alcohol, which made them uncomfortable. Though Mang0 later apologized for his actions and took the blame for it, he was removed by Cloud9 and was also dropped from other events, along with receiving backlash from the streaming community.

Braden Peters, famously known as Clavicular, was reportedly seen striking someone with his Tesla. The streamer received backlash and a ban for his actions. He claimed that he acted in self-defense, explaining that he took the action because he was scared and needed to protect himself. However, as of now, Kick hasn't confirmed the exact reason behind the ban. Though fans speculate it could be related to the hitting incident.


7) Nina Lin

Nina Lin is once again in the middle of controversies after reportedly stealing a steak from Target. As of now, her Twitch account has been banned, with no official statement released from Twitch about the reason behind the action being taken. Though many believe it could be because of the shoplifting. Nina has already faced many bans in recent months, and with the recent video going viral, she is now facing heavy backlash from the Twitch community.


8) LowTierGod

LowTierGod had previously been banned from Twitch, but this didn't stop him from using his Kick account. The streamer got banned from Twitch recently for the seventh time. However, he soon went on Kick to call out the people who were criticizing him, giving them the title of losers. His comments on Kick also went viral, with many users reacting negatively. His account is back now on Twitch.


9) HasanAbi

On a livestream last month, a user showed concern over HasanAbi's appearance, calling it 'rough' and asking him to do workouts. The streamer reacted angrily, calling out the user and even asking him to die on the livestream. The clip soon went viral, which led to major backlash, with people questioning his use of words, soon adding to streaming controversies.


10) Tectone

In August, Twitch banned Tectone for using offensive language. This was not his first ban, as the streamer had already faced four previous suspensions before this incident. The streamer was also made aware by his viewers about the possible ban. He then redirected the topic to other streamers, adding that even other streamers have done it and they should also get banned. As of now, his ban has been lifted.
