Justin Bieber has been teasing the launch of his new streetwear and lifestyle brand SKYLARK for a while now by sharing upcoming eyewear, footwear, and clothing. Recently, the superstar previewed a phone case designed to accommodate a joint, and fans have pointed out that it looks similar to his wife’s popular Rhode phone case.
Several tweets showcase the prototype of a joint-holding phone case. The emerald green phone case was modeled after an iPhone and featured an indentation with a joint placed inside.
Justin Bieber hasn’t announced a specific launch date for his brand, SKYLARK. His business partner, Neima Khaila, shared via Instagram that the brand had been in “calibration” for three years. SKYLARK brand’s Instagram currently boasts over 470 thousand followers with no posts on its grid.
Fans react as Justin Bieber teases a joint-holding phone case
@StreetFashion01 shared a collage of Bieber smoking a joint and the new case design with the caption:
"Justin Bieber just previewed a joint-holding phone case from his brand SKYLARK."
@ladidaix immediately spotted the similarity to Hailey Bieber’s Rhode pouches with lipstick holders and tweeted in response:
“Hailey’s influence”
Other X users shared the same sentiments;
“Stealing his wife’s Rhode case concept for other purposes is wild lol,” @cruchielle stated.
Another X user wondered if Justin Bieber had a marketing strategy for his brand:
“Why’s he copying all of his wife’s ideas? He’s not paying thousands of people to create his brand,” @glazeddonutq added.
Another X user criticized the singer for mimicking the entire Rhode lipstick case concept without infusing new ideas:
“Reheating your wife’s nachos without adding fresh cheese is insane,” @matchamaxwell expressed.
Other Netizens were impressed by the design and commended him for thinking outside the box:
“Naw, this Ni**a thinking outside the box,” @Uknowbigshindoh replied.
A fan compared the joint phone case to Steve Jobs launching the iPhone.
“It reminds me of when Steve Jobs announced the iPhone for the first time- very revolutionary,” @donkaka praised.
“Him and Hailey are really up to something with these cases lol,” @not_yourmami added.
According to GQ's April 23, 2025 report, the SKYLARK's design team comprises Finn Rush-Taylor as the lead designer and Justin Bieber. The news outlet also reported that Hailey Bieber appears to be involved in the brand’s creative process, as she shared on Instagram in April 2025 that she was working on creating her favorite jacket of all time.
