Seth Blackstock, son of talent manager Brandon Blackstock, who passed away after battling cancer, has paid tribute to his father on Instagram. Seth, 18, penned a touching message for Brandon describing him as his hero and best friend:
“I lost my hero yesterday. Words can’t describe how proud of you I am for raising me and your three other kids. You were a father, a son, a brother, and most importantly, my best friend. You’ll have to watch me grow up from a birds-eye view now, but that’s ok with me.”
Seth Blackstock, son of Brandon Blackstock and Melissa Ashworth, shared a carousel of photos of himself and his late father, adding that no other person could fill his father's shoes:
"There’s no one else on this earth that I would want to be my dad because no one can be half the man you were to me,” he continued alongside six sweet photos with his late dad. “I’ll see you every day when the sun rises and falls.”
“Can’t wait to throw a line in the water with you again,” Seth pays tribute to his late dad, Brandon Blackstock

The teenager continued to praise his late father, describing him as the best hunter he’d ever seen and stating that he couldn’t wait to fish with him again:
"Can confidently say all the deer and elk took a sigh of relief when the best hunter I’ve ever known laid his rifle down for the last time,” Brandon’s son wrote. “I love you so much and can’t wait to throw a line in the water with you again.”
He concluded his tribute:
"Love you, Dad. Be good or good at it -love your son Seth.”
A statement shared by Brandon Blackstock’s family to The Post revealed that the 48-year-old had passed away after battling cancer for 3 years. The talent manager was said to have passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.
Brandon Blackstock was formerly married to singer Kelly Clarkson, and they had two children together, River, 11, and Remington, 9. The Stronger hitmaker filed for divorce in 2020, which was finalized the same year.
