“I’m charging y’all quadruple”: DDG calls out brands severing partnership with him amid ongoing Halle Bailey legal battle

American rapper and YouTuber Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., or more commonly referred to as DDG, was recently given a restraining order by his ex-girlfriend, Halle Bailey. Granberry Jr. and Bailey broke up last year in October 2024, and according to court records, it stated that ever since their split, there has been

"multiple acts of physical violence," as stated by RTT News.

After the abuse allegations against DDG, many brands have pulled out from working with the rapper and YouTuber. He decided to do a live stream on Twitch where he addressed the brands refraining from working with him. Akademiks TV posted a clip of the live stream video and captioned it:

"DDG calls out all the brands that switched up on him after the demonic soulless bitter baby momma and mermaid Halle Bailey made allegedly false accusations…"

DDG can be heard in the video saying:

"Yeah. I wanna be transparent with y’all. It’s a whole lot of brands switching up on me right now. I want you brands to know all this sh*t over with. I’m charging y’all quadruple tax. Quintuple, actually."

According to court documents received by Page Six, it is true that Halle Bailey was given temporary sole legal and physical custody of their (hers and Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.'s) son. This decision was made by the court after Halle had provided them with documents and proof of being physically abused.

Bailey said in the legal documents:

"Throughout our relationship... Daryl has been and continues to be physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive towards me. I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son Halo from his ongoing abuse."

Hailey also mentioned an incident when her ex-boyfriend got physically violent with her while her son, Halo, was present. She provided evidence with photos of her bruised arms and chipped tooth.

In Bailey's words:

"We fought each other, wrestling and tussling. At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain," the Little Mermaid actress recalled.

However, this was not the only violent incident Bailey faced with Darryl. She also mentioned a fight that happened two months ago in March 2025, when her ex-boyfriend broke the Ring doorbell cam because it contained footage of the rapper threatening Bailey outside her house verbally.

The legal woes between DDG and his ex-girlfriend, Halle Bailey, shed a dark light on the rapper's career. So far, Granberry Jr. has addressed the issue that many brands have pulled out from working with him during a Twitch live stream.
