Jaden Smith's career highlights explored as he is chosen as Christian Louboutin's first men's creative director

Jaden Smith just added a new title to his long list of achievements. The 27-year-old actor and singer was chosen by Christian Louboutin as one of the first men's creative directors. The French fashion designer is known for his red sole footwear and initially focused on women's shoes. However, 15 years ago, he decided to branch out and work on men's footwear as well, featuring the same iconic red soles.

In Louboutin's words, this is what he had to say about Jaden Smith:

"I found him very interesting, very kind, and very, very humble, and above all, very interesting: The way he is, the way he dresses, the way he thinks."

Smith is also excited for the opportunity and told WWD:

"This is the one of the biggest honors of my life, and I feel a lot of pressure to be able to live up to everything that Christian has done for the house, and also stepping into such a serious role... When he reached out to me, I was just blown away, because of how similar we are and how much we like to do things in a similar manner."

He concluded by saying:

"I can't wait to show the world what we’ve been working on... I think that the universe of Christian Louboutin men’s has so much potential."

Smith is moving to Paris and will show his first designs in January at Men's Fashion Week. He will create four collections a year, including shoes, bags, and accessories, while also working on campaigns and events.

Jaden Smith is the son of famous actor Will Smith and talk show host Jada Pinkett-Smith. He has been heavily influenced by his parents' life and work in terms of choosing a career path. Additionally, he and his sister, Willow Smith, founded a fashion brand called 'MSFTSrep'. He started the brand when he was just 23 years old.

Jaden has also walked runways for big names in the fashion world. One of his most memorable runway walks was when he walked for Louis Vuitton's womenswear. Jaden Smith wore a skirt and revealed the reason behind it, saying:

"In five years, when a kid goes to school wearing a skirt, he won't get beat up and kids won't get mad at him."
