Jay-Z has voiced his support for Bad Bunny amid the backlash over his Super Bowl LX halftime show. In the recent talk with TMZ, supporting Bad Bunny, he said:

"They love him. Don't let them fool you."

The backlash started after the NFL announced Bad Bunny as a performer for the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show on September 28.

Jay-Z, in a statement to the NFL said at that time:

"What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on the world's biggest stage."

However, Benito soon started facing backlash after the announcement, with some criticizing his use of mostly Spanish in performances, along with his past political views and social stands.

Last week, the NFL released a press report stating they will continue to stick with Bad Bunny for their upcoming halftime show despite the backlash.

During a news conference, Commissioner Roger Goodell, defending Benito Antonio, said:

"It's carefully thought through. I'm not sure we've ever selected an artist where we didn't have some blowback or criticism. It's pretty hard to do when you have literally hundreds of millions of people that are watching."

He continued:

"We're confident it's going to be a great show. He understands the platform that he's on, and I think it's going to be exciting and a united moment."

Goodell also added that Benito Antonio is one of the world’s top entertainers and a key part of the show’s appeal.

Along with Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez also supported the singer on the TODAY show with the statement:

"He’s one of the top artists in the world right now, probably the top. It could be a lot of different people. That’s the thing."

She added:

"I’m super excited for people to see him. I think they’ll be pleasantly surprised because his music transcends language. It’s amazing what he’s done. He’s done something that a lot of people have never done in their life."

Along with Lopez, Bruno Mars and Jelly Roll also showed excitement for his upcoming performance.

Responding to the criticism, the singer said:

"I'm very excited to be doing the Super Bowl, and I know that people all around the world who love my music are also happy. Especially all the Latinos and Latinas across the world, and here, in the United States, all those who have worked to open doors"
